The European Clusters Alliance initiative (ECA)
The European Clusters Alliance initiative (ECA) was officially launched in the presence of the European Commission during the Regional and Economic Diplomacy Summit, organised in Warsaw on 9 September 2019. This alliance, which finds its origins in the Bucharest Declaration in May 2019, gathers 11 national clusters association from 10 different countries. It aims at creating synergies between clusters in various countries by developing a bottom-up approach, but also by enabling the clusters community to speak with a stronger voice at the European level. The ECA will become a legal structure in the coming months, and will enable national associations sharing its vision and objectives to become members.
